At Clifford’s Kingdom, the care of our horses is paramount. We fund our horse care business through entry fees, equine-assisted therapy sessions, and carriage rides for all occasions.

We are often asked “what does it cost to care for a large Suffolk Punch hore?”So below we have listed our care costs for our horses.

Hay Costs
1 bale of hay per day: £35
7 bales per week: £245
52 weeks per year: £12,740

Grass Nuts Costs
1 bag of grass nuts: £10.50
10 bags per week: £105
52 weeks per year: £5,460Total Annual Feeding Cost: £18,200

Farrier Costs
Regular farrier visits with hoof trimming every 6 weeks for our bare foot horses. @£35 per horseShoeing every 3/4 weeks @£100 per set for our carriage driving boys.Approx. cost per year: £4,300

Additional Care costs
Equine dental visits: £60 per horse, 1 to 2 visits per year
Worming: £25 per dose, 4 doses per year.
Worming: £900 per year.
Veterinary Bills per year: Approx. £1,400

Total Cost of Horse Care Per Year: £25,380

Future development plans on-siteThe erection of a stallion stable barn to give the Stallions a larger living area to improve there day to day quality of life by having a larger space to live.Only when we have a sufficient surplus in addition to covering annual care costs can we start these larger projects.Estimated Fund to Collect:
